Die Stadtmauer Buyeo Naseong wurde zum Schutz von Sabi, der Hauptstadt der Baekje-Zeit, errichtet und umfasst 8,4 km. Sie nutzt die natürliche Bodenbeschaffenheit im Osten und Westen und umschließt so die Stadt und die Festung Busosanseong, die sich im Mittelpunkt befindet. Neben der Festungsmauer in Pyeongyang ist sie eine der ältesten Festungsmauern des Landes und wurde vermutlich ca. 538 errichtet, als die Hauptstadt von Woongjin (heutiges Gongju) nach Sabi (heutiges Buyeo) verlegt wurde. Die Mauer beginnt dort, wo einst das Osttor der Festung stand und verläuft bis zum Ufer des Flusses Geumgang. Da sie aus Erde bestand, verbleiben heute nur noch Reste.

              Insel Anmyeondo (안면도)

              💡 Überblick

              Anmyeondo ist die sechstgrößte Insel Koreas und liegt etwa 30 km von Taean entfernt. Eine 200 m lange Brücke, die 1970 errichtet wurde, verbindet die Insel mit dem Landkreis Taean-gun. Diese Halbinsel wurde während der Joseon-Zeit aus steuerpolitischen Gründen isoliert, indem der Zugang zwischen Changgi-ri in Anmyeon-eup und Sinon-ri in Nam-myeon gesperrt wurde.
