    Wenn man der Touristenstraße zum Tempel Wonhyosa folgt, erreicht man Baejae und gut instandgehaltene Gräber sowie den Tempel Chungjangsa. Der Tempel wurde im Jahre 1975 in Gedenken an General Kim Deok-ryeong gebaut.         Der Nationalfriedhof des 18. Mai liegt vor dem Berg Mudeungsan. Er ist ein Symbol für Freiheit und Demokratie und Ruhestätte für die Opfer des Kampfes für Demokratie im Mai 1980. Im Jahre 1980 wurden die Opfer mit Schubkarren und Müllwagen zu einem Friedhof in Mangwol-dong gebracht und dort beerdigt. 1997 wurde dieser Friedhof schließlich an seinen heutigen Standort verlegt.           Das Mudeungsan Lift & Monorail befindet sich innerhalb des Jisan Resorts in Gwangju. Man kann Tickets im 24-Stunden-Geschäft im 1. Stockwerk kaufen und dann zur Plattform im 2. Stockwerk gehen. Die Fahrt mit dem Lift zur Station Bitgoeul dauert ca. 30 Minuten und bietet einen tollen Ausblick auf die Landschaft des Berges Mudeungsan. An der Station kann man dann in die Monorail umsteigen und bis zum Gipfel hinauffahren. Hier gibt es eine Aussichtsplattform, von der aus man ganz Gwangju überblicken kann.

          Die Kunsthandwerkstraße im Pinguindorf Yangnim-dong ist eine kleine Gasse hinter dem Bürgerzentrum Yangnim-dong, die mit einem Wegweiser in Form eines Pinguins ausgeschildert ist.           Das Haus des Missionars Wilson ist ein zweistöckiges Backsteingebäude, das sich am östlichen Fuß des Berges Yangnimsan in Gwangju befindet. Es ist Gwangjus ältestes Gebäude im westlichen Stil und soll in den 1920er Jahren von einem amerikanischen Missionar namens Wilson gebaut worden sein. Heute dient das renovierte Innere des Hauses als Büro der Presbyterianischen Kirche von Korea (PCK) sowie als wertvolles Symbol der modernen Architektur Koreas.

          Im ersten Stock des quadratischen Hauses befinden sich ein Wohnzimmer, ein Familienzimmer, eine Küche und ein Badezimmer, im zweiten Stock mehrere Schlafzimmer und im Untergeschoss sind ein Abstellraum und ein Heizraum zu finden. Die Eingangstür zum Haus richtet sich in den Osten, was damals die vorherrschende architektonische Kultur Koreas war.
