Seosan Haemieupseong Festival (서산해미읍성축제)

Die Festung Haemieupseong in Seosan ist die am besten erhaltene Festung in Korea. Sie wurde vor etwa 600 Jahren während der Joseon-Zeit gebaut und ist ein historisch bedeutsamer Ort, an dem einst sowohl der oberste Befehlshaber der Region Chungcheong-do also auch Admiral Yi Sun-sin gedient haben. Außerdem war sie Schauplatz der Bauernrevolution 1894, und bei der Christenverfolgung wurden hier fast 1.000 Christen hingerichtet.

[Introduction]
Die Festung Haemieupseong in Seosan ist die am besten erhaltene Festung in Korea. Sie wurde vor etwa 600 Jahren während der Joseon-Zeit gebaut und ist ein historisch bedeutsamer Ort, an dem einst sowohl der oberste Befehlshaber der Region Chungcheong-do also auch Admiral Yi Sun-sin gedient haben. Außerdem war sie Schauplatz der Bauernrevolution 1894, und bei der Christenverfolgung wurden hier fast 1.000 Christen hingerichtet.
